Our Principles

The Lafayette Exchange Club is a civic service club working to make our community and Indiana a better place to live and work.  Preventing child abuse is a major focus.  An overview video of the organization's national scope is instructive.  This local Club operates within the Indiana District Exchange Club.
We invite you to become a member and join those seeking improved conditions through community service; just contact the club's president.

A Continuing Opportunity

Exchange participates in a program that saves you money, helps the environment by reducing energy use and helps finance Exchange's efforts; a 3-fer!!  The Indiana Utility Commission has mandated that Indiana's electric utilities reduce electricity consumption by 18 percent by 2018.  In response to this ambitious goal, electric utilities operating in the state initiated Energizing Indiana Program

It's an entirely free and voluntary program that, due to recent legislative action may be terminated after this year.  A certified home energy rep will install energy saving devices for your home: 9 CFL lamps, 2 low-flow shower heads, 3 low-flow faucet aerators and pipe insulation for electric water heaters; an assessment with a printed report review requires about 1.5 hours.  The final benefit is $25 to the Exchange Club of Lafayette for each home assessment we recruit.  Schedule your appointment on-line to reduce your future energy costs.

Events and Weekly Programs

We meet at Four Points by Sheraton (1600 Cumberland Ave., W. Lafayette, IN [map]) each Wednesday (lunch buffet opens at 11:30 AM) for a 30 min. program starting at noon.  Guests and visiting Exchangites are always welcome.
